About Pippaʼs Army

Our Mission
Since 2016 Pippa’s Army have been reuniting lost pets with their families across Havering and Thurrock. It started with one miniature Schnauzer called Pippa, who was missing for 3 weeks.
Volunteers involved in helping to find her decided to keep the Facebook group open to provide ongoing support to local families that lose their pets in the Havering and Thurrock areas.
In 2018 we expanded our mission to offer a life line for cats in need, as we were finding many that didn’t already have families of their own, and began our foster based animal rescue.
As of March 2025 we became a registered charity (number 1212601).
What do we do?
At Pippa’s Army Lost & Found Animal Rescue, we work tirelessly to reunite lost pets with their families. When an animal goes missing, our experienced volunteers mobilize quickly through coordinated search parties and the strategic use of humane traps to safely recover them. We understand how distressing it can be to lose a pet, which is why we urge anyone with a missing animal to join our active Facebook group, where they can post details, receive support, and connect with our dedicated team for assistance.
We also operate a specialized dog unit that focuses solely on lost, stray, and abandoned dogs. This team is trained in safe handling, tracking techniques, and urgent response, giving dogs the best chance of being brought to safety and reunited with their families or placed in foster care. For feral cats, we offer tailored solutions -those that aren’t suited for adoption can find secure placements on local farms, where they will be cared for and fed. Additionally, we run a trap, neuter, and release (TNR) program to manage feral cat populations humanely and responsibly.
